TIME TO QUILT!!!!

I had a 'retail therapy' trip to three Colorado Springs
quilt stores yesterday.  I came away with some fat quarters plus yardage for a border to add to my stash for my 'Dear Jeanne' quilt!!

Christmas is all put away for another year, the house is in order, soup for supper is bubbling away in the crock pot; and there are new fabrics in the stash.

TIME TO QUILT ----

Does it get any better?

'NOT MUCH QUILTING TIME' SEASON

The Birthday/Thanksgiving/Christmas Season has taken over my life -- which is a good thing!  However, it hasn't left any time to quilt.  Here is my Dear Jeanne quilt that I was working on when I had to pack up the sewing mess to concentrate on other things.
So, all I have to offer on the blog for now is another "Blast from the Past".  Back in the early 1980s I taught a class on quilted Christmas gifts.  These Sunbonnet Sue and Overall Sam Christmas stockings were one of the things we worked on.
They are the only samples I've held onto from that class.  Don't know why as I've knitted Christmas stockings for all my family members.
Guess they will be for those future great-grandchildren!
I'm anxious for January so I can get back to whiling away my hours by working on my 'Dear Jeanne' quilt.
If I don't check back in the rest of December, have a joyful Christmas season.
