Some quiltmaking activities stretch the maker's creativity more than others. This type of quilt is that kind of growth experience.
The first step was to decide on a color plan; and with my frugal personality, that always figures into the supply of on-hand scraps of fabric. Do I have a plan and size in mind for a suitable design that will achieve my final goal? Have I done the math and drawn up the basic design on paper? Do I want to add embroidery, applique, or other embellishments? How will I quilt the top? Is it all workable with my limitations? Lots of questions to be answered with creativity necessary at every step. Always a learning experience.
Here is the end product --- threads of hope!!
THE STATS: Threads of Hope, 2025, 29" x 29", Paper Pieced, Machine Pieced, Machine Emboidered, Machine Quilted.

https://qbits-salmagundi.blogspot.com/ Yes, I am still blogging, but just on my quilt blog. We have been fine until just last week, when covid hit us. Bob has been in a rehab center since then, but is coming home tomorrow; and I was lucky enough to catch mine in time for some great medication. So, hopefully, we will be back to normal soon. I still spend most of time quilting, as you can see on my quilt blog. Our grandkids are now both in their 20s and adults. Wyatt just completed his contract of 5 years in the Navy, and is in reserves and going to college on the GI Bill. Caitlin is married and works in the administration of our local prison system; graduated college with a degree in criminal justice; and now climbing the corporate ladder. No great-grandkids yet!! I think of you everyday, as I still carry that Coach bag you sent me years ago --- It still looks like new inspite of daily use. Hope you are well, happy, and busy. Our 67th wedding anniversary is this week, and we plan for many more. Take care!!!!
